[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]At Metta School, we are aware of the importance of arts and enrichment programs such as music and movement for early childhood learners. Children naturally love music! Whether it’s soft and soothing or a lively tune, children feel it both physically and emotionally. On every Monday, PS2 students are having Music and Movement lessons for about 15 minutes. Each month, we will use different songs for this lesson, 2 songs in English and 1 song in Chinese. Our songs for this month are “Jack in the box”, “The Green Grass Grows All Around”, and “Yin Huo Chong”. Music and movements activities help the body and the mind work together. Exposing students to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words, build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression, and help strengthen memory skills. Even though we had virtual lessons via Zoom, we had so much fun doing Music and Movement lessons together. It can be seen we did it with full of smile and excitement.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
