Junior High and Senior High School

Metta Junior High School and Metta Senior High School are national schools that implement the Kurikulum Merdeka as the national curriculum, complemented by the Cambridge Programme. Metta Junior High School operates under the Indonesian Ministry of Education, while Metta Senior High School operates under the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Buddhist Education).
We have been faithful in preserving our grand vision of:

“To be a steadfast, high quality school, emphasizing universal morals, ethics, empathy, clever and creative minds, tolerance, compassion to all sentient beings, and active civic participation in educating the nation.”

This is proven by the existence of testimonies, many achievements and recognition from year to year.

Curriculum Overview

Our students are equipped with Mandarin language skills as both written and spoken communication tools, alongside proficiency in English and Indonesian. Beginning in Grade 7, students are prepared to develop their Chinese language proficiency and have the opportunity to take the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK), an internationally recognized Chinese Proficiency Test.

Academic achievement is not the sole purpose of our education. We believe that our school is not only a place where students acquire knowledge but also a place where they prepare themselves for life beyond the classroom. Physical and mental well-being, social development, and aesthetic appreciation are also integral parts of our educational approach.

To support holistic education, as reflected in our vision and mission, we offer a variety of special programs, including:
Mindfulness Leadership Training and Performing Arts Classes
