On Friday, December 6, 2024, Metta School, in collaboration with Metta School Parent Association (MSPA), hosted a transformative seminar titled Smart Parenting: Menyiapkan Anak Cerdas Menangani Konflik. The event was a result of a strong partnership between the school and its Parent Association, which serves as the school committee and plays a vital role in enriching the school community.
This inspiring session empowered parents with tools to nurture their children’s independence, resilience, and emotional intelligence. By drawing a diverse audience—including families from outside the Metta School community—the seminar became a platform for meaningful learning and connection.
Guiding Parents to Raise Resilient Children
The seminar featured Maria, M.Psi., Psikolog, CPDPE, CPDCE, a renowned clinical psychologist specializing in child and adolescent development. Mrs. Maria’s expert insights provided parents with practical strategies to foster their children’s growth while maintaining healthy boundaries. Her extensive experience working with families helped her translate psychological principles into relatable and actionable advice.
This seminar, though primarily designed for parents of elementary school students, offered valuable insights for those with toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and teenagers as well. Mrs. Maria addressed the unique developmental needs of children across different age groups, ensuring that all attendees walked away with applicable strategies. Mrs. Maria’s dynamic presentation style and ability to simplify complex psychological concepts left parents feeling more confident in their parenting approaches.
By opening the event to the public, Metta School and MSPA emphasized their commitment to creating a community of shared learning. Parents were encouraged to invite friends and family, making the seminar not just an educational event but also an opportunity for community engagement.
